Legal Terms
Terms of Service
Effective date: March 25, 2026. These Terms of Service govern use of the public website and any approved-member access to DP Bookkeeping, a restricted-access bookkeeping application operated by Douglas Peters.
Service Overview
DP Bookkeeping provides a restricted bookkeeping workspace for approved members. The service may include account connectivity through Plaid, transaction import and review, categorization support, bookkeeping context management, and related reporting or support features.
Eligibility And Access
Public pages on this domain are available without login. Access to the private bookkeeping workspace is limited to approved members using authorized sign-in credentials. Access may be granted, denied, suspended, or revoked at the operator's discretion to protect the service, users, and underlying financial data.
User Responsibilities
Members are responsible for using accurate information, protecting their login credentials, maintaining the security of their own devices and email accounts, and using the service only for legitimate bookkeeping and related operational purposes. Users must not attempt to bypass access restrictions, interfere with the service, or misuse data made available through the application.
Plaid And Third-Party Services
Some functionality depends on third-party providers, including Plaid for financial account connectivity and Google for authentication. Availability, accuracy, and timing of imported data may depend on those providers, financial institutions, and user authorizations. Use of those integrations may also be subject to the providers' own terms and privacy policies.
Data Use And Privacy
By using the service, approved members authorize DP Bookkeeping to process the information needed to operate requested bookkeeping workflows, including authentication details, authorized financial account data, and member-entered bookkeeping information. Privacy practices are described in the Privacy Policy linked below.
No Professional Advice
Unless separately agreed in writing, the service and its contents are provided for bookkeeping workflow support and general informational purposes only. They do not constitute legal, tax, investment, or other professional advice, and users remain responsible for their own decisions and compliance obligations.
Availability And Changes
The service may be updated, limited, interrupted, or discontinued from time to time. Features, integrations, and public website content may change without prior notice when needed for security, compliance, operational, or product reasons.
Termination
The operator may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary for security, policy enforcement, legal compliance, inactivity, or operational reasons. Upon termination, retained information may continue to be stored where required for legitimate bookkeeping, security, legal, tax, audit, or business continuity purposes.
Disclaimer And Liability
The service is provided on an as-available and as-is basis to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. No guarantee is made that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every use case. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the website or service.
